Natasha Barclay, LCSW

PSYCHOTHERAPIST

I specialize in children & families, couples counseling, anxiety, depression, ADHD, as well as addiction. I utilize an empathetic, humanistic approach with evidenced-based interventions. I describe my approach to therapy as one that is collaborative, eclectic, and individualized to the needs of my patients. I believe that the therapeutic alliance accounts for a large percentage of positive clinical outcomes, and building a safe as well as trusting relationship with my patients is a primary aim of my work; through a combination of psychotherapeutic and lifestyle interventions. It is by processing cognitive and emotional material that we may begin to recognize our conscious/unconscious patterns and dynamics, thereby gaining insight and ultimately improvement in the relationships with self as well as others.

Together, we’ll work as a team to develop a treatment plan that supports you and your unique needs. I am dedicated to helping people overwhelmed with some aspect of their life, be it their relationships, family, or job situation. I can assist individuals experiencing stress, anxiety, depression, or panic, as well as couples who feel frustrated, unheard, and misunderstood in their communications. Psychotherapy services can help you understand and change the beliefs and behavior patterns that are obstacles to your feeling good about yourself, reaching your goals, and improving your relationships.

I invite you to be an active partner in therapy, to alter the beliefs about yourself that keep you stuck, and to seek insight and growth that enable you to move your life forward making beneficial choices with confidence. I have over ten years of experience treating individuals, couples and families.

My approach to therapy is rooted in empathy and inspired by real human experience — because healing doesn’t happen through perfection, it happens through connection.

Over the years, I’ve learned that humor, authenticity, and relatability can be credibly powerful tools for growth and healing. The therapeutic relationship matters —a lot. If you don’t jive with your therapist, that’s a problem.

You deserve to feel comfortable, understood, and genuinely connected to the person sitting across from you. My goal is to create a space where you can show up exactly as you are while working toward meaningful, lasting change.
